UP THE HILL - SHELSLEY WALSH HILL CLIMB
WHAT A DAY! FOOD&FUEL TAKES TO THE HILL!
The sun shone on the car community on 21st September as a new generation of enthusiasts descended onto one of the world’s oldest motorsport venues. One hundred heroes took on the hill at Shelsley Walsh in cars ranging from Lamborghinis to Skylines to classic Minis and even a certain infamous microcar!
More than 4,000 joined us to take in the spectacle and dive in to some of the best street food around. We were lucky enough to be joined by the likes of Beefy Boys, Gurt Wings, Pigs Pizza, Burnout BBQ and more to make sure nobody went home hungry!
We saw rapid runs from time attack monsters and rally legends, huge burnouts from some fimilar faces and the Shelsley Thunder was at full volume as classic racers roared their way up the course.
Our sponsors NEO Tools, kept everyone going with their huge supply of tools at the NEO Tools Pitstop and Febi Bilstein kept things flowing with a supply of handy liquids, making sure nobody was out of the action!
Variety is king at Food&Fuel and our show car fields were packed with a truly eclectic mix of cars from British Classics through to JDM legends.
There could only be one (well, four technically) winner in our traditional awards ceremony though and Best in Show went to Harvey with his Mitusubishi Delica almost purely down the factory-fitted karaoke machine!
The Hill Climb Hero award went to Steve “Putty” Putt in his monstrous LS-powered Mazda RX-7 for going full-send all day and clocking some of the quickest runs of the event!
And last but not least, the People’s Choice is set to be decided with a vote on our Instagram, so follow us and see if your car is in with a shout!
Thanks so much to everyone to came along and made the event a truly special day. Keep an eye here on our website, on our socials and sign up to our newsletter, The Circuit, to be the first ones to know about all of our upcoming events and what’s happening behind the scenes!
